Since graduating from London’s Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Alex has become an in-demand saxophonist performing on an international stage both in tours, residencies and for one-off shows at events close to his heart such as the 2018 Monaco Grand Prix, 2016 Le Mans 24h for Aston Martin hospitality and both the 2017 FA Cup semi-finals and final.
Over the winters of 2016/17 and 2017/18, he had a residency at the famous French Alpine ski resort ‘Dick’s Tea Bar’ where he played with DJs Martin Garrix, Alex Ross, Simon Jayson and Nicolas Spielman to name a few. Last summer, Alex has played at top Ibiza clubs ‘Bora Bora’ and ‘Jet Apartments’ as well as London’s ‘100 Wardour Street’, ‘Radio Rooftop’ bar and ‘The Arts Club’. Closer to home, Alex performs weekly as a member of the house band at Farringdon’s ‘The Piano Works’ and ‘Studio 88’.
At the beginning of 2016, Alex completed a tour of Germany with ‘The Definitive Rat Pack’, and in 2015 he featured in an advert filmed for Ray-Ban in Berlin. Also in 2015, he featured on Niji Adeleye’s debut album, ‘Better Days Ahead’ which reached #3 in the iTunes jazz downloads chart. Other recording work includes Natalie May’s EP, ‘Neo Deco’ which was launched at a performance at Camden’s ‘Jazz Cafe’, supporting Teedra Moses. Back in 2012 Alex played for Coca-Cola hospitality in the Olympic Park as part of the London Olympics.
As a side project, Alex co-runs ‘More is More’, an exciting collaboration of some of the best young instrumentalists of their generation playing their own innovative brand of totally improvised groove music and can regularly be seen playing across London.
